** Full-time Roofer – Solar Installations | PAYE **
PDP has a vacancy for a full time Roofer to install Solar PV panels. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, forward facing and evolving small business.
Purpose of Role
Install fixings and panels of new solar PV systems to customer standards whilst upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations. Roofers will report to the Solar Director.
- Install fixings and panels to a range of roof types.
- Working from height.
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
- Work across departments as required.
- Assist other trades as required.
- To supervise, direct, positively motivate and train apprentices and junior staff who may be appointed to assist you.
This is full time role, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
Experience
You must have at least two years’ experience in installing solar PV systems.
Key Requirements
- Experience of installing solar PV panels (preferred but not essential)
- Experience of working at heights (essential)
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Pass an advanced background check (Advanced DBS Check)
- Valid UK driving license.
- Ability to work in a team and on your own.
- A strong work ethic and can do attitude.

** Full-time Solar Electrician | PAYE **
PDP has a vacancy for a full time Solar Electrician. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, forward facing and evolving small business.
Purpose of Role
To use a working knowledge of electrical systems to conduct maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics on existing solar PV systems. Install new solar PV systems to customer standards and to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations. Solar Electricians will report to the Solar Director.
- Lead solar PV installations, and repairs.
- Lay out and install solar PV systems per drawings.
- Install battery storage.
- Install EV Chargers
- System commissioning and software set up.
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic solar PV systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic solar PV systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
- Install electrical systems to 18th Edition 3rd Amendment wiring regulations.
- Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations and NICEIC requirements.
This is full time role, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.

** Full-time Electrician | PAYE **
PDP has a vacancy for a full time Electrician. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, forward facing and evolving small business.
Purpose of Role
The role will include work across domestic and commercial premises:
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards, including fire alarms.
- Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, heating systems, and alarms.
- Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.
- Work across departments as required, particularly the solar department assisting with solar PV installations.

** Heat Pump Engineer | PAYE **

Purpose of Role
Your primary job role will be the installation of central heating systems including pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders and underfloor heating.
You will be expected to liaise with the customer to deliver a quality installation with minimal disruption to the client, working to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.
You will report to the Renewables Manager.
Key Duties
Install, service and maintain air source and ground source heat pumps in Customer homes and businesses.
- Install central heating systems including pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders and underfloor heating.
- Liaise with the customer to deliver a quality installation with minimal disruption to the client, working to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.
- Proactive reporting of all Health and Safety issues.
- Work to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.
- Mobile provided to update the Company’s systems.
- Check and create risk assessments on site to ensure safe working practices are met.
- Complete job reports on Jobwatch to allow return visits and estimates to be actioned.
This is full time role, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
Experience:
- Strong experience and understanding of domestic heating systems.
- Heat pump experience.
- Unvented cylinders.
- Understanding of heating electrical controls wiring preferred (but not essential).
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating
- A clean, full UK Driving Licence is essential.
