Plumber – Renewables Energy Engineer

PDP Services is on a mission to help both homes and businesses become greener. As a leading installer of both air source and ground source heat pumps, PDP has a reputation for quality workmanship and great customer service.

PDP is looking for a domestic plumber that is eco-aware and is interested in renewable heating technology, sharing the Company’s vision of moving away from heating systems that burn fossil fuels.

This is a unique opportunity to join a green thinking, forward facing and evolving small business. Training and support will be given to enable you to have in-depth knowledge of renewable heating systems. We will support you to become a fully qualified heat pump engineer.

Purpose of Role

You’ll work as part of a small but growing team to install heat pumps in Customers homes and businesses.

Your primary job role will be the installation of central heating systems including pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders and underfloor heating. Most of our projects are domestic retrofit, with several new build projects.

You will be expected to liaise with the customer to deliver a quality installation with minimal disruption to the client, working to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.

Experience

  • Strong experience and understanding of domestic heating systems.
  • Heat pump experience (preferred but not essential). Experience of heating systems takes precedence. Full training will be given to any successful candidate.
  • Unvented cylinders.
  • Understanding of heating electrical controls wiring preferred (but not essential).

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating
  • A clean, full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Domestic Gas Engineer

£2000 STARTING BONUS // PAYE // COMPANY VEHICLE

Purpose of Role

You’ll work as part of a small but growing team that install, maintain and service domestic boilers. The role also includes plumbing works and same-day call outs as well as larger installation projects.

You will be a key member of Heating and Plumbing team within PDP Services, ensuring that a professional service is maintained at all times, acting as an interface between the Company and customers / clients.

· Installation

· Fault-finding

· Servicing

· Gas boilers and unvented cylinders.

· Gas Safety Checks

· Work to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.

This is full time role, Monday to Friday.

Experience

You must have at least three years gas, heating, plumbing and unvented experience, in particular servicing and breakdown. You must be fully qualified (see below).

Qualifications

  • ACS required. (CCN1, CEN1 / CENWAT1, CKR1 and HTRI desirable.)
  • Capable of wiring s plan, y plan, controls, etc. (preferred but not essential).
  • Competent in all types of central heating systems.
  • Plumbing skills.
  • Awareness of relevant building codes, legislation, regulation and policies.
  • A clean, full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Oil / Gas Engineer

Purpose of Role

You will be a key member of the domestic gas and plumbing department ensuring; compliance, delivering excellent customer service, and reporting issues as they arise to the Plumbing and Heating Manager.

  • Installation
  • Fault-finding
  • Servicing
  • Gas boilers and unvented cylinders.
  • Conduct Gas Safety Checks
  • Work to high standards to meet both the Company’s and Customers expectations.
  • Tablet provided to update the Company’s systems.

The on-call rota is 1 in 4.

Experience

You must have at least five years gas, heating, plumbing and unvented experience, in particular servicing and breakdown. You must be fully qualified (see below).

Qualifications

  • ACS required. (CCN1, CEN1 / CENWAT1, CKR1 and HTRI desirable.)
  • Capable of wiring s plan, y plan, controls, etc. (preferred but not essential).
  • Competent in all types of central heating systems.
  • Basic plumbing skills.
  • Awareness of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations and policies.
  • A clean, full UK Driving Licence is essential.
